Nica Life English Program

Our time in Nicaragua has taught us that some of the most desired jobs are in the tourism industry managing hotels or tour operations. Many places require that applicants for these positions know English. However, children in public schools do not have access to this curriculum. In order to acquire this skill a child must attend a private school or pay to attend an English school. These options are not available to the children in the communities where our artisans live. This prompted us to begin our English Program so that the children of these communities could have equal opportunities. We provide scholarships to the English House so that children from our artisan's communities can learn English. In addition, we have partnered with Busuu who is providing offline licenses so that these children can study English in their homes.

About our Education Bracelets: Our English program was inspired by one of our artisan’s sons, Carlos and his desire to learn. When we launched the program, he gave one of our founders, Jerry, a bracelet as a thank you. That meaningful gift gave us the idea for the Education Collection, 50% of the profits from this collection will be used for Nica Life education programs.
